Downsizing and Moving? An Estate to Liquidate? The first rule of thumb we give our clients is to take what they want and leave the rest (for us to sell). In contrast to most estate sale companies, EstateMAX handles all sizes of properties, from tiny to large. We strategize, organize and optimize the merchandise. Then Donate unsold goods after the sale as part of the clean out process. For very messy properties, some presale clean out might be needed. We discuss the plan with the client in advance as possible. Estate sale inventories include everything in a household, outbuilding, tool shed, garage, lawn and garden. All of it is fair game for sale!

Downsizing & Move Management

Packing and Removal

During the downsizing process, EstateMAX works directly with the client—or follows the plan developed with the client—using a room-by-room schedule. Items selected for the move are identified, marked for their destination in the new home, and included in a corresponding photographic inventory.

Sort items not selected for the move

Items staying behind are separated into estate sale, recycling, and trash removal categories.

Prepare items for the estate sale

Saleable items are identified and reserved for the future estate sale after the client has moved out.

Stage estate sale items in the home

Estate sale items are temporarily staged in an appropriate area where they will not interfere with real estate showings.

Recycle and remove unsaleable items

Items that cannot be sold are separated for recycling or designated for trash removal.

Coordinate donations after the sale

Donations are handled after the estate sale has been completed.

Packing and transportation for the move

The hired moving company packs and transports valuables, fragile items, clothing, household belongings, and other items selected for the move.
